LPG is just as safe as the alternative fuels. Autogas tanks are resistant to impact because they is approximately 6 times thicker than those of alternative fuels. A pressure relief (safety) valve on top of the tank prevents explosions by relieving excessive pressure even if the pressure inside the tank increases for some reason. Due to the tank thickness and the pressure relief valve, LPG differs from other fuels in terms of safety. For the safest experience, convert your vehicle to LPG at a conversion center with the TSE Service Competency Certificate.
